Houzz featured “Kitchen of the Week”, this historical home was originally built in the 1940’s. The homeowners wanted to maintain its original beach bungalow charm. The designer worked diligently to replicate period details while still providing the modern conveniences available today. Details such as faux cabinet hinges, crystal door hardware, detailed ceiling beams and bead board wainscoting add to the vintage cottage charm, while modern conveniences are found in new appliances made to look old. Smart home features are discretely placed throughout the home. The result is a comfortable, playful and beautiful beach home that is perfectly designed to welcome just a few visitors as easily as large parties. The indoor/outdoor living allows guests to enjoy the beautiful weather the beach town has to offer, while still maintaining the cozy cottage feel the homeowners wanted to preserve.
